Our indoor rendition of smores: marshmallows torched to perfection by Older Daughter (kitchen blowtorch), homemade black sesame chocolate spread, sandwiched between Petit Beurre biscuits
We haven’t seen Petit Buerre biscuits for many decades. We first had them on a summer in France. These were gifted by a neighbour who managed to hold of some.
The smores were a nostalgic yet updated way of enjoying them.
This is my contribution to Last Photo for June 2020 hosted by Brian at BushboysWorld and Friendly Friday Challenge: Nostalgia hosted by Amanda at SomethingToPonderAbout & Sandy at TheSandyChronicles
Looks like a yummy last photo 😀

Is there much of a difference, except of course in strength.

They are rather wonderful sweeties, aren’t they? I love that we can make them now without setting up a BBQ!

It’s not so different from Nutella – just with an Asian twist.

Ah! I will look in the Asian grocery stores here for it.

Hee hee! We bought it years ago because Older Daughter decided she needed to sear strawberries! It actually makes them taste sweeter!

Wow! Neat. Never heard of that method with strawberries.

We got the idea from a waffle shop we used to frequent – they would top their freshly made waffles with strawberries & marshmallows (and whatever other toppings you would like) and then torch them to melt them.
