The day was overcast, for which we were glad, as that meant a cooler run in the evening. What we didn’t anticipate was the run being rained out! Since we were already dressed, the route was already marked, we decided to run with some of our friends who had not been deterred by the rain. Continue reading “Santa Run for Wishes”
Among the many Pop Artists who grace us with art for thought, Robert Indiana is one of my favourites. I love the immensity & simplicity of his 3-D depiction of LOVE, one of which is currently residing in the courtyard of Winsland House II. Continue reading “Robert Indiana: A Fascination with Numbers”
When we travel, we put in a great deal of effort to research places we want to visit: museums & shows we want to go to, food we want to eat, vistas we want to gape at. I’ve had two rain runs this week! and they were good. I love running in the rain for all sorts of reasons: splashing through the puddles, feeling the rain on my face, staying cool all through the run, luxuriating in a mid-day run which would otherwise have been excruciatingly hot! We went out in search of dinner this past Wednesday night: Older Daughter had a bit of a traumatic afternoon on account of too much studying, so we said she could pick our dinner venue. After a pleasant wander about Orchard Road, checking out half a dozen potential eateries, we finally sat down at Dazzling Cafe. Continue reading “A Dazzling Food Adventure”
