Gift of Hope

From Day to Night, the tree reminds me that we all need a little Hope this season.

As December fast approaches, our family has turned thoughts to what we would like to share with our family & friends this season.

A fraction is a part of a whole.

In my unmathematical mind (despite having taken numerous Calculus classes), that pretty much sums up my understanding of fractions. Everything in school math involving fractions was done by rote. After school, encounters were largely practical (1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tablespoon vanilla essence, etc)

Light one candle for Hope

Yesterday was the first Sunday of Advent. It marks the new year for us in the Catholic Church.

It wouldn’t be this time of the year without candles, marking the weeks of Advent, a time of preparing for Jesus’ birth.

The first candle is lit.  For Hope.
