happy place, happy space: Critter Encounters

We had a couple of days this week when the rain stopped. The critters were as thrilled as we were to take advantage.

    1. I think it was, in fact, both for me! Maybe in retrospect, we wouldn’t have lingered quite so long. But it was just so fascinating that it continued to hiss at us for ages – and we’ve never seen a cobra in life, so there we found ourselves … gawking.

  1. The cobra looks menacing. Thank you for the mention. I just started hosting a weekly Weekend Coffee Share on Friday Jan. 8th. Everyone is welcome to join any week. I hope to see you there. Have a nice weekend!

    1. You know, Laurie, although not your typical Friday Favourites, your post has so much cautious hope embued through it. There is a lesson I take from taking time out to grieve & heal, so that we can be grateful for another day.

Yes, we did see this Cobra. And yes, we were told (after the fact) that we should have not stayed in its vicinity for so long. We will know better next time.

    1. Very apt descriptions!
And yes, it does look like the cobra is smiling – very deceptive …. have been told after the fact that we should not have lingered as long as we did. Ignorance is bliss … this time.

  3. Spitting Cobra – that takes me back. I won’t bore you with the details, but the finale featured three grown men getting though a narrow doorway as if by magic. We then used a hosepipe to scare it off from a safe distance.
