My Christmas Treat

I haven’t bought a book for myself in years.

Partly because I read my books online from the local library. Partly because Loving Husband & Older Daughter are resolute book procurers, and they take care of our family’s library.

My Generous & FarAway in London Aunt & Uncle (aka Godparents to my daughters) gifted us with a festive monetary present. We all went wild and got ourselves all sorts of exciting things which we may have hesitated over getting for ourselves (Christmas cake from Marks & Spencers, tipple to go with said Christmas cake, Moana lego, books, books and more books).

I ordered Laurie GravesThe Great Library Trilogy (the final book just hit the stands last month) as a treat for myself. They arrived a few days before Christmas, which was much faster than anticipated.

I will be enjoying this treat for a long while yet. Thank you, Shmee & Ton! Thank you, Laurie!

This post is my contribution to One Word Sunday: Treat hosted by Debbie at TravelWithIntent.

    1. Thank you for appreciating my attempts at composition! The cloth is a Christmas tea towel our good friends/neighbours gifted us for the season.

I am enjoying Book 1 …. your characters are so delicious! I can’t help feeling sorry for Chet …
