It’s exciting the number of things I learn from reading blogposts. Case in point: visiting one of my favourite bloggers, Amanda at Something To Ponder About, I found out about this delightful feature of the WordPress Block Editor, Image Compare.
Serendipitously, I had taken photos yet to be edited from my run yesterday through the Alexandra Park Connector. And tada!
Have you used this feature before? Have you found any exciting new features of Block Editor you might care to share?

Fun! I am still using pokey old Classic Editor. Some day, if life ever slows down, I will learn Block Editor.

I kinda switched by accident: took a break from WP, and when I came back, I fell into the Block. Didn’t even realise that I have switched over for a bit.

I have been using the Block editor since its trial inception and I do prefer it above the Classic editor. It seems much more intuitive, but it does have its critics. I do like the way you have used it to compare monochrome versus colour. Very useful. Thanks for joining in with Friendly Friday, Ju-Lyn.

I think that’s the challenge with all changes – there will be fans, there will be critics … until we have all forgotten what it was like before the change; and it becomes The Norm.

I only post 4 times a year now, and have not had to use the block editor yet.

I’ve been using it for a while now and I can’t even remember what the Classic is like. I guess it’s all about what suits each of us best!

Ooh, that’s a great shot and works so well for this feature. I’ve used it a few times and it’s nice to have a different look now and then. 🙂 🙂 Some of the other galleries are very rigid. I like to be able to play about with them. I’m still looking for the perfect set up but there’s plenty to explore, if you have the time and patience. I’m a bit short on the latter 🙂

Love the photo and thanks for letting me know about the new feature. I love photos like that. Some of my favourites are when someone re-takes an old photo (sometimes quite old) in the same location and you can see just how much the space changed over the years.

I haven’t used the new feature yet but I’ve been using the new block editor. I like the drop cap feature for starting a blog post But I haven’t really gotten into all the bells and whistles of images – so thanks!

Ah! Got it! It’s like the beginning of illuminated manuscripts. Fancy & clever! I must find an opportunity to exploit this!

I had no idea. So it enables you to edit your images, add filters, and such?

This particular feature allows you to place 2 photographs side by side, with a sliding feature (revealing more of one, or the other). The photos have to be edited elsewhere.
