Took this photo for our family blog – all about music this month. It’s a page out of the 1991 edition of The Sacred Harp.
Older Daughter and I have been singing shapenote music for a few years now, mostly on our extended visits to London with the London Sacred Harp. We tried to start a group in Singapore but we just didn’t have momentum. So when we have a hankering, it’s just the 2 of us belting our hearts out.
One of the wonderful things that has emerged from this crazy time are Zingings (Zoom Singings) hosted by various groups in North America. The time difference isn’t too bad; the earliest being 7:15am, but mostly at 9-ish am.
We get to sing every week now.
This post is my contribution to Last Photo for August 2020 hosted by Brian, at BushBoy.
Here’s what to do if you’d like to join in as well:
1. Post the last photo on your SD card or last photo on your phone for the month.
2. No editing – never mind if it is out of focus, not framed as you would like or the subject matter didn’t cooperate.
3. You don’t have to have any explanations, just the photo will do
4. Create a Pingback to Brian’s post or link in the comments
5. Tag “The Last Photo”
The first video for the Monthly Last Photo Challenge Ju-Lyn 🙂 Thanks for joining in
