I know, right? There is something very mesmerising about animals playing.

I wonder whether animal play stimulates some kind of positive, calming physiological reaction in our bodies?

I love otters, too. We have them in our Maine woods, but I have never seen one in the wild.

Do your woods have waterways, Laurie? Or so some otters live away from water?

No, otters live by water. And, yes, our woods have waterways. A friend of mine, a nature lover, once chased an otter trail through the snow hoping to catch up with the traveling otter. No luck! Otters are fast.

A fun for my friend, too, even though she didn’t catch up with the otters.

All about the process & journey, right? It is some dedication to persist through that cold, though.
