The promenade along the Singapore River is one of my favourite night runs. It takes us through the very historic Civic District which is so scintillatingly lit.
Cavenagh Bridge is one of the oldest surviving bridges in Singapore – and apparently the only suspension bridge. It is fitting that the historic & grand Fullerton Hotel forms its backdrop from this particular vantage. Sparkle among glimmer: we just can’t get enough!
Another favourite of ours is the Elgin Bridge: bridge by day, artwork by night.
This post is my contribution to One Word Sunday: Bridge hosted by Debbie at TravelWithIntent and Friendly Friday Photo Challenge: Colour Harmonies hosted by Amanda at SomethingToPonderAbout & Sandy at TheSandyChronicles.
I admire you for running in Singaporean weather. But this night view makes it all worth it!

Indeed it is worth heading into town for! I think our bodies have just gotten used to the humidity and heat (although I do love running in cooler climes!)

I agree, you must become acclimatised after a time. Happy running.

Razzle dazzle! Must be a treat to look at such colors while you run.

It is rather fun! One of the reasons we regularly hit the town for night light runs!

Beautiful views – what a lovely running route. Colour me jealous – not just for the view but for the weather. It’s already getting cooler here. My days of running and cycling in shorts are numbered for 2020.

I have never run in terribly low temperatures – the coldest I’ve experienced is London running in the winter and I really enjoyed that!

Beautiful. Is Singapore less humid at night? I was hard pushed to walk very far when we were there (very briefly), let alone run.

Actually the evenings can become even more humid. But at least we don’t have the sun beating down on us. Best time to run is still early in the morning – but no pretty pretty lights then.

Lovely images of those stunning bridges. I wish I was there right now. But I’d be walking not running!

What incredible views for a night run! I love all the colors! Also so interesting the Cavenaugh bridge is the only suspension bridge too. Thank you for sharing with us, Ju Lyn!

I spent a few days in Singapore in 1988 and would love to go back. It’s such a fascinating city and there have been some amazing developments since I was there as far as I can see.
I need to win the lottery first though, fingers crossed.

Singapore has changed remarkably since the late 80s (some good, some questionable) – I do hope you win the lottery and are able to return.
