Photos were taken at the Singapore Biennale 2019. This work by Ruangsak Anuwatwimon (b. 1975, Bangkok, Thailand) entitled Reincarnations (Hopea Sangal and Sindora Wallichii) was commissioned for this event. These are artistic recreations of trees which were chopped down, despite being critically endangered.

  1. So incredibly sad. We’ve been watching a BBC wildlife programme, and deforestation comes up as the biggest issue in every episode, on virtually every continent
