I worked to reestablish my WordPress routines: it was a tentative & arduous in the beginning but got easier as the month progressed. It is good to be back.
My month’s highlight is our annual family visit to Ipoh. It was a time of revising old haunts & discovering new treasures.
We ran in the mornings exploring different parts of the Kinta Riverwalk. We poked around the Old Town streets to discover street art that made us smile.
And of course, the food.
The Chinese New Year celebrations came upon us fast and furious this year, barely a month since Christmas. And lo! and behold! we find ourselves in February.
Looking forward to seeing what you have been up to. Over to you, Blogging Buddies!

Ipoh’s mural art reminds me of Penang in a way. Looking like a great month, looking forward to having you back on WP 🙂

January went by quickly.. Food looks delish but do i understand that you have dessert with breakfast? Or perhaps you have eggs benedict for more than breakfast? In either case – Excellent idea!

Indeed January did zip by!
And yes, I am unfortunately (or otherwise) one of those folks who have dessert at any time of day! and Breakfast foods at all times of day! 🙂

Food and art; two of my favourite things, so thank you for sharing. I wasn’t sure at first if the snail was real. Ours here only have round shells and that one is rather spectacular.

Hehe. I’m not loving them at the moment — they are enjoying my brassica plant’s way too much.

My mouth is watering a bit looking at these photos. Did your Chinese New Year celebrations go as scheduled, or were they scaled back, as in Hong Kong?

Our family doesn’t celebrate in a huge way so we weren’t terribly affected by the sombre mood. I don’t think things are quite as bad as in HK as they have been plagued with different ills for so much longer.

Oh yes, it has been a seismic 12 months for them. Must be difficult for folks with small business?

Yes! We see so many independent shops change hands too quickly.
