The summer has zipped by: holidaying with overseas family, nipping to Ipoh & then Bangkok, and taking care of those household chores screaming for attention (fortunately, Loving Husband took care of most of these).
Bangkok was certainly my highlight for July. My parents and our little family of 4 nipped over there to celebrate my Ever-Young Mom’s birthday at the end of the month – we mostly just ate our way through the city. Best kind of holiday!

Mangosteens!! Totally love those and would have bought the whole truck! 😉 And I like the idea of a post-run refuel with fried chicken! 😄

Mangosteens are quite rather wonderful, aren’t they? I balked when my Dad bought 5kg of the fruit – so heavy – but we polished it all off within 2 days (5 of us!)

Gosh, all that looks great. I’ve never heard of a mangosteen! And I can’t tell what that sculpture is of…?

Mangosteen is one of my favourite tropical fruits. It is still one of those very seasonal fruit, so I look forward to when they appear at the store: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/mangosteen
