This mural carved from stone commemorates the opening of the Learning Forest area of the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 31 March 2017.

The Learning Forest is designed to integrate with the existing 6-hectare Rain Forest to form an enlarged forest habitat. It features a network of boardwalks and elevated walkways that allow visitors to explore habitats ranging from a freshwater forest wetland to a lowland rainforest.

I enjoy running through this new extension of the Gardens and enjoy spotting these various creatures at the most surprising times.

This post is my contribution to Friendly Friday Photo: Design hosted this week by theSnowMeltsSomewhere.

  1. This is such an interesting little tid bit behind the photo- thanks for sharing, Ju Lyn! You always inspire me to learn more about my surroundings- there is so much history and many stories that go into the things we see and pass every day!
