Finding Treasure: Five Minutes with Peter Pan

One of the greatest joys of running in London is the frequent encounters with sculptures in the parks & streets. This one is Kensington Gardens has always been one of my favourites, for the story it represents & the the numerous squirrels, fairies and rabbits that surround our hero.

It is told that JM Barrie, the creator of the Peter Pan story & a London resident, felt very inspired by these gardens. He commissioned Sir George Frampton to build the statue which has graced this spot (to the west of Long Water) since 1912.

This is my contribution to Delsey Jane‘s RegularRandom.
