The Changing Seasons: July 2018

July has been the epitome of summer, filled with vacation trips, visiting with family & old friends who have returned from far & wide, and lots & lots of sun!

It all started with a trip to Bangkok, Thailand (began at the end of June, spilling into early July) with my parents, my sister & her daughter (visiting from Phoenix, AZ). Bangkok has been a family favourite as it is easily accessible, and teeming with great food, fun shopping & hospitable people.

The month concluded with a trip to Ipoh, Malaysia (began at the end of July, spilling into early August) with my parents. It is a place we return to in order to reconnect with our roots as Loving Husband’s family hails from these parts. Ipoh is still a charming, small town with beautiful environs with lots to offer.

This my contribution to The Changing Seasons.

Feature Photo is taken from our lift lobby on the 23rd Floor atΒ The Haven, part of old granite quarry which is still being refurbished.

  1. Oh. My. Goodness! I don’t know even where to begin. These pictures are amazing. How is that hotel so beautifully located near a mountain AND on the water? I have never seen anything like that… just breathtaking.

So glad you had such a great time in Thailand. It is a bucket list place for me for sure!!!

I don’t think I have ever heard much about Malaysia, but I am now adding it to my list too! Hope you are so well, dear friend!<3 ❀

    1. I have been thinking of you – especially when I had all that Thai food & Dosai in Ipoh. I have been missed reading your posts – have been so dreadful in keeping up with reading and correspondence, and the posting has dwindled to such a minimum on WP.

But it is soooooo good to hear from you!
