I am a Work in Progress: 3-Day Quote Challenge #1

I am confident of this, that the One who began a good work in you will continue to complete it.  ~Philippians 1:6~

I reflect on these words today from the letter of St Paul to the Philippians, as part of my 30DayChallenge for May with Ignatian Spirituality.

We are each a work in progress.  On one hand, it is comforting to know that we are far done: after all, there is still so much to learn, so much of the world to experience!  On the other hand, to wonder wistfully what completion would feel like; the feeling that we indeed have so very far to go! How does this make me feel? How do these thought affect how I treat others when I remember that they, too, are works in progress?  What do you think about being a Work in Progress?

Thank you to two lovely ladies, both intrepid world travellers, who have invited me to join in the “Three Day Quote Challenge“:  Lorelle from AMindfulTraveller (join her in her food & travel adventures) & Pommepal from RetiredfromGypsyLife (take a peek at what is flourishing in her beautiful garden).

The Rules of this Challenge:

1) Thank the person who nominated you
2) Post a quote for 3 consecutive days ( 1 post each day )
3) Nominate 3 bloggers each day

Inviting the following, and You, to join in the fun:

  1. Sarah at  SecretArtExpedition gives us a unique glimpse at our world through her water-colours and photography
  2. Janet at AuntBeulahBlog  will provoke you to consider Living Well to Age Well as she shares stories from her life; she often has me in stitches!
  3. Su Leslie at zimmerbitch takes stunning & thoughtful photographs.

  1. How thrilling it is to be constantly a work in progress, to know there is yet another bend beyond the road where new ways of seeing and understanding exist! I’d like to think that not only we but our entire universe is in a continual state of flux, ever-evolving from one state of being to the next.
