It was raining most of yesterday; not terribly surprising for London, but it was the heaviest winter rain I’ve ever experienced in my various London visits.
Younger Daughter and I were braving the pelting drops as we hurried home after a visit to the Natural History museum; umbrella and mostly rain-resistant coats did not spare us from being soaked. An hour later, Older Daughter reported sleet when she was making her way to an orchestral concert. We heard later that evening more than 100 flights were cancelled at Heathrow Airport on account of the weather.
And yet, the morning dawns dry and bright, almost like yesterday never happened.
May the sun rise for you wherever you are.
