Younger Daughter and I had a mini-break this past week in Kuala Lumpur. Older Daughter was at a Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) Camp the past week, and had some time off on Thursday and Friday; so we decided to travel over a few days earlier before our planned weekend trip.
The camp culminated in a performance at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas KLCC on Sunday. We also attended on Saturday a performance by the Singapore National Youth Orchestra & the Singapore Children’s Choir. These performances were part of a Youth Orchestra Festival.
It was wonderful to watch these young people from Singapore & Malaysia making beautiful music; a reminder that music brings so much joy to those who create & perform it, as well as to those of us who are in the audience experiencing & appreciating it.
The third candle is lit. For joy.
What a wonderful weekend you have had with your family.
