The Garden City

This is the view I look forward to as I run along Orchard Road: a juxtaposition of nature & high rise buildings, two opposites, but a commonplace sight in the Garden City of Singapore.

On this particular Monday morning past, however, Loving Husband & I were greeted with a rather unusual sight: piles of rubbish left over from The Shine Festival from the night before.  The cleaners were still in the process of tidying up at 8 in the morning: I’m pretty sure it would have been pristine by the time the shops opened at 11am.
