We Singaporeans are great feasters: we love to gather & celebrate around a meal.

My Epicurious Father celebrated his 76th Birthday yesterday. As part of the festivities, he brought us to an dinnertime experience at Sumiya, a themed Japanese restaurant evocative of casual street & pub dining in the 1970s. It was a treat for all the senses: the theming, the buzzy vibe, the conversation & excitement as we were presented with beautifully presented & prepared dishes.
